La Passacaglia - Quilt Top Complete
I started working on this quilt in early 2016 (see my progress), and now the quilt top is complete! I just love it, but my husband seems to be obsessed with knowing how many little pieces there are. I just refuse to figure it out, but he guesstimates 2,500 pieces. So, now it is done and I'll be pondering how I'll quilt it. I'm trying to not overthink it and go with a large meandering or large swirl quilting pattern, or maybe something like concentric circles that mirror each rosette. Check back to see what I settle on. It should be soon; I already have the quilt binding (solid black) ready to go.

Paisley Splash Elephant Baby Quilt - for Baby Lively
We learned earlier this year that our nephew and his wife are expecting a child! It will be the first baby in the next generation on either side of our family, so it's quite an exciting event. Of course, a baby quilt was in order, and not just one of simple squares of various cute fabrics. So the search began for patterns and ideas.

Pin Wheels and Windmills - Japanese Taupe
I don't even know how long ago I started working on this quilt, but I was inspired by the pictures on the Pink Caramel blog. The blog post does give much information, but I loved the intertwined windmills, as well as the Japanese taupes. I can't even say I started working on it with the end goal of making a quilt. Here's the story of how it came together.

Blue & White Sampler Quilt - Six Inch Blocks Complete
I have just finished the rest of the six inch quilt blocks for my Blue & White Sampler quilt! I probably should have posted them in smaller batches, but I'm anxious to keep going. I previously posted the first eight of the six inch blocks and now here are eleven more.
See each of the blocks below along with an updated layout of all of my Blue & White Sampler blocks so far.

Ashley's T-Shirt Quilt - Davidson College
My niece, Ashley, is graduating from college, so another quilt project has been completed! I didn't want to give away the surprise, so you haven't seen this one in progress. It's another custom, stained-glass, two-sided quilt with t-shirts on one side and college themed fabric on the other side, very similar to the UF Sigma Kappa quilt I made for Samantha several years ago.

La Passacaglia Quilt: More Progress
I have more progress to share on my La Passacaglia quilt top that I'm working on using the designs in the awesome book Millefiori Quilts by Willyne Hammerstein. I am down to the partial rounds that go around the edges, so I feel like I'm getting close. But, I keep reminding myself that when I got started I was just going to play around with this technique. I'll get there before I know it.

Blue & White Sampler - Six Inch Blocks
As I mentioned in my last post, I have moved on to making the 6 inch blocks for the Blue & White Sampler quilt I have in progress. It's very familiar territory, making smaller blocks, after all that time working on the Farmer's Wife quilt blocks! That quilt, by the way, is still awaiting my attention, currently in strips rolled up on the shelf.
This is the first eight of the 6 inch blocks; Pineapple, Hunter Star, Amish Star, Rising Star, Star Burst, Center Nine Patch, Ohio Star, and Christmas Star.
