- Block 25 - Cups & Saucers
- Block 62 - Old Windmill
- Block 105 - Wild Goose Chase
Before starting, familiarize yourself with the HST and Flying Geese tutorials. The HST tutorial explains how to make two HSTs at a time, but you could also use this tutorial we recently found to make eight at a time. Remember that the Flying Geese tutorial gives two options, one for making one at a time and another for making four at a time. Choosing between options will depend on how many of the same unit you need for your design.
Since two of the blocks require the same size Flying Geese units, I may combine my energy and make all of the units for both blocks at the same time, using the four-at-a-time method, allowing me to mix and match the units.
Block 25 - Cups & Saucers
This block is essentially a 9-patch block with HSTs in the corners, a center square, and four side units that each have two Flying Geese units. Start by making the following parts:- Four 2 inch HSTs, made from 2 7/8 inch squares and trimmed to 2 1/2 inches
- One square for the center cut 2 1/2 inches square
- Eight Flying Geese units, making their finished size 1 inch by 2 inches

Block 62 - Old Windmill
To make this block, we'll need 16 HSTs. Your own block design will dictate how many of each combination you'll need, but for me, I'll need the following:- Six green and white HSTs
- Six blue and white HSTs
- Four yellow and white HSTs
